Our customer from the field of „telecommunication“, is looking for a Junior Multimedia Engineer to start as soon as possible. In this position, you will be a part of the IT Consumer Products department and responsible for a wide range of tasks in order to enable and support our client’s multimedia products portfolio.

Task:

• Engineering of new encoding and streaming requirements from Business
• Troubleshooting of issues on the streaming platform
• Working closely with the Operations team during the live operation

 Requirements:

• Higher education in Computer Science
• First working experience in a related field
• Proven experience in the integration and operation of encoding and streaming servers software
• Knowledge of streaming technologies and protocols: HLS and MPEG DASH streaming
• Understanding of the encoding standards: h.264, HEVC, VP9
• Experience with encoding software
• Solid knowledge of Unix
• Good scripting skills (python, ksh)
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills using network analysis tools
• Experience with video players would a plus
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Proactive and structured in the resolution of end user issues
• Ability to work well in a team with tight schedules for the implementation of new business requirements
• Fluent in English. German would be a plus.
