The Release Manager is typically involved with the day to day activities associated with the specific release while adhering to the rules established in this Release Management policy The teammate we look for will negotiate, plan and manage release activities across our international group and will typically be involved in day-to-day activities associated with specific releases
Main responsibilities
- Manage & Create a specific Release Deployment Plan and follow the release calendar
- Accept and formally inspect the completeness of deliveries.
- Verify release documentation.
- Ensure communication and training for a specific release (if necessary).
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams/ locations.
- Communicate release details and schedules to the Business (as required).
- Coordinate releases into the environments (across numerous internal and 3rd party development teams).
- Coordinate the Go-Live activities, including execution of deployment plans/ checklists.
- Analyze and monitor problems that appear during release preparation or execution.
- Maintain full control and management of many test and production environments.
What we expect
- Provable experience in releases deployment and management (technical background desired)
- Experience in SW development process (including SCRUM/ Kanban or other Agile methodology)
- Experience in building and deployment tools, automation.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux systems
- JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo or other Atlassian components knowledge would be highly appreciated
- Attention to detail, accuracy, focus on quality, hands-on attitude
- Great communication and coordination skills, ability to multitask and prioritize
- Communicative knowledge of Czech/Slovak language (is a must)
- Good verbal and written knowledge of English language (B2)
Nice to have:
- Both Front-end and Back-end experience in integration and testing
- Previous experience in project management practices (would be a huge plus)
- Continuous Integration experience in fast-paced SW development (highly appreciated)
